Practical information

The European Researchers Night will take place on 28 September 2012 from 6.00 p.m. till midnight on CERN's Meyrin site (Switzerland). The precise time of arrival on the site will be sent to all participants by e-mail.

Coming by tram

From the central train station

From Geneva's Cornavin tram/bus station, take tram-line 14 heading for "Meyrin-CERN" and get off at the terminus. Full details can be found at the Geneva Public Transport website.

From the airport

Take bus Y direction CERN or bus 57 direction Gare de Meyrin and get off at Blandonnet. Then take tram 14 direction CERN. See the Geneva public transport website for further information.

Coming by car

  • From Switzerland: Follow the signposts for "Aéroport", "Lyon" or "Meyrin". Once in Meyrin, follow the signs for "Saint-Genis-Pouilly" (which is just across the border in France). On the Route de Meyrin, the CERN site is on your left just before you cross the border in the direction of St-Genis-Pouilly.
  • From France (Ain): Follow signs for "Gex" or " Saint-Genis-Pouilly ". When you get to the border, CERN is on your right, immediately after the customs post.
